Adults, both pre- and post-retirement, enjoy the opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering at our facilities. Students explore the health care field to gain knowledge and experience for their future while helping others. Students may receive a letter of reference upon successful completion of their commitment. Students must be at least 14 years old to volunteer at the hospital. There are many intangible benefits as well ? gain experience, make new friends, stay active, feel great about helping others, and more We ask for a commitment of at least four months. Weekly shifts are 3-5 hours. Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the hospital ? for example: information desk, gift shop, surgical waiting room, food services, therapies, medical records, distribution, clerical assistance, and MORE
